Multi-Factor Staking (MFS)
What is MFS?
Multi-Factor Staking (MFS) is STBL's staking and rewards framework designed to encourage long-term ecosystem participation. Unlike traditional staking models that only consider the amount staked, MFS rewards users based on multiple factors, including staking duration and ecosystem alignment. Users can stake STBL on its own or co-lock USST alongside their STBL position to increase reward weight and strengthen their participation within the ecosystem.
How MFS Works
MFS allows users to lock STBL for a chosen period and earn rewards for their commitment. Users can:
- Stake STBL
- Co-lock USST alongside STBL
- Select a lock duration
- Earn rewards based on participation and commitment
Longer lock durations and deeper ecosystem participation may result in higher reward weightings.
Why Co-Lock USST?
USST is the core stablecoin of the STBL ecosystem. By combining STBL and USST within a staking position, users can further align themselves with the ecosystem while increasing their reward potential. This model encourages participation across both the STBL and USST ecosystems rather than focusing solely on token lockups.
Key Features
- STBL - only staking
- STBL + USST co-locking
- Flexible lock durations
- Real-time reward tracking
- Multiple active staking positions (supported versions)
- On-chain transparency
Evolution of MFS
| Version | Highlights |
|---|---|
| MFS 1.0 | Introduced the core staking framework with fixed lock durations and a straightforward reward structure. |
| MFS 1.5 | Expanded lock durations, introduced multiple active staking positions, and enhanced reward mechanics to encourage longer-term participation. |
| MFS 2.0 (Current Version) | Focused on sustainable emissions, stronger long-term incentives, improved user experience, and a more adaptive reward framework designed to support long-term ecosystem growth. Live at dapp.stbl.com/mfs. |
Designed for Long-Term Alignment
MFS is designed to reward users who actively participate in the STBL ecosystem over time. By combining staking, ecosystem participation, and long-term commitment, MFS helps align users with the continued growth and development of the STBL network.
